In addition to your generous financial contribution, we are asking that you consider becoming a mentor for the scholarship Candidates as they choose their college and career paths. We are forming a database for our professional assets. We are asking for your name, profession, email address and High School graduation class.

How Our Professional Assets Will Be Used
The City of Indianola Public Schools alumnus of professional assets i.e. physicians, dentists, nurses, engineers, CPAs, bankers, etc. will be used as references for our Candidates. In the near future, Candidates will be applying for more scholarships, summer jobs, internships, fellowships and other growth opportunities. Our Candidates can draw from a pool of Professional Contacts who come from their own community to vouch for their academic prowess and character. We will also encourage our Candidates to shadow our professional assets to glean from them and become inspired about their own career paths.
Our professional assets will also be used in our upcoming tutoring program. The tutoring program will teach high school students in the areas of Algebra, Chemistry, Geometry or other math and science subjects.
The Black Tie Affair
We plan to get our Scholarship Candidates together in the same room with our professional alums during the October 6, 2018 Black Tie Scholarship Event.
During the gala event, Candidates will present their essays before guest donors and sponsors.
Our professional alums are encouraged to provide the Candidates with their business cards.
